The FRSC physical screening for applicants for the 2018 Federal Road Safety Commission Recruitment is ongoing at all the states in Nigeria. So, in this post, I want to share with you, the FRSC recruitment screening requirements and what to expect in the FRSC physical screening exercise.

The FRSC job screening exercise commenced on September 24 2018, to end on September 29, 2018 with about 324,000 applicants nationwide competing for the 4,000 job spaces in the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). Applicants for the FRSC jobs would go through different levels of screening exercise ranging from credentials verification which has commenced, aptitude test to be conducted by the Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB), interview screening and drug test. Applicants that successfully pass all the stages will then be employed to join the Nigeria Federal Road Safety Commission and start earning monthly FRSC salary.

All applicants who applied to FRSC for recruitment into the different cadres are required to check their emails for frsc screening email notification. Applicants who do not receive any information through their emails before the date of the exercise are also advised to report to the screening centres chosen in their application forms with the printed frsc summary data page.

In addition, all applicants, irrespective of Cadre applied for, are to go to the frsc screening venue along with the following: originals of their credentials (for sighting), 2 sets of photocopies of credentials, medical certificate of fitness, and 2 passport sized photographs. You might need more than 2 passport photos though.

Applicants are to also note, for the avoidance of doubt, that they are to appear in white shorts, white round neck T-shirt, canvass and socks for the screening and physical fitness exercise.

What To Expect In FRSC Screening Exercise

You will be required to submit photocopies of your credentials.

You will be required to show the original copies of your credentials for vetting. NYSC discharge certificate is VERY important while FSLC/testimonal not that important. Your certificate of birth is very important too. If you are presenting declaration of age certificate especially if done recently, it will raise eyebrow.

The FRSC officers that will screen you physically will check if you are of the expected height, not pregnant, not married and check if you don’t have bow and K’ legs. Applicants with tattoos, bow and K’ legs, married women and pregnant women would be disqualified from its ongoing screening because as a uniform personel you are required to stand, walk and run long distance in case of emergence. If your wedding ring has left mark on your finger, you are on your own o.

You will also be required to run a short distance and complete the distance within let’s say 25 minutes. If you fail to complete the distance within that period, you will be disqualified.
