How To Start Recharge Card Printing Business In Nigeria

In this post, I want to share with you how to start recharge card printing business in Nigeria.

No matter where you are in Nigeria, you can start making money in Nigeria by printing and selling recharge cards.  Those recharge vouchers you buy by the road side, in your street etc are printed by people like you. The airtime vouchers don’t fall from heaven.  I’ve been printing airtime vouchers in Nigeria for the past 8 years.

Well, starting recharge card printing business is not rocket science. You only have to put some things in place and know reliable companies that sell recharge cards pins in Nigeria. Things you need to start recharge card printing business include :

  1. Computer : can be a desktop computer or laptop
  2. Printer: Laserjet recommended!
  3. A4 papers
  4. ePins of any network you want to print
  5. Recharge card printing software eg NetDivo ePin Manager

I did not include internet access because it’s not compulsory. Most recharge card printing softwares don’t require internet for printing recharge cards. More so, a dealer might be in your neighbourhood and getting epins from such a dealer might just be a matter of walking in to the dealer shop to pick up a flash drive or CD containing your epins.

If you are dealing with a dealer or sub dealer that is far away from you, then you will need internet access to download the epins they will be sending to your email. When doing this, it’s better you do it on your personal computer and not at a cyber cafe where anyone can access your email especially if you forget to sign out from your email account before leaving the cyber cafe.

Once you have your laptop, printer and papers ready, proceed to download recharge card printing software. Install it and ensure you learn how to use it.

You can download recharge card printing pdf by NetDivo to learn how to use the NetDivo ePin manager software for recharge cards printing.

You can download NetDivo recharge card printing software and install for FREE on your computer, but you will not be able to use it until you activate it. Activating the NetDivo software will cost you N9,500.

If you pay the N9,500 to activate your copy of the NetDivo software, you will get

  • sample ePin file you can print out for training purposes only
  • contact details of where you can buy ePins of all networks in Nigeria.

Once you have mastered how to use the software and have the contact of where you can buy ePins, then proceed to order for your ePins. Once delivered to you, upload to the recharge card printing software and print them out accordingly.

Once printed, sell and make your money.

Mind you, the volume of your sales will determine how much money you can make from recharge card printing business in Nigeria.

I hope this helps.

Feel free to ask me questions via comments and please, SHARE this with your loved ones by making use of the share buttons below.

Happy Selling!

How Long Does It Takes To Get Drivers License In Nigeria?

How long does it takes to get drivers license in Nigeria ?

Well, you will be able to get the temporary Nigeria drivers license same day you complete the biometric capture if there are no technical issues at the capture centre. Without been captured, there is no way you will get the temporary drivers license in Nigeria.

When I applied for the new Nigeria drivers license in May 2018, I got the temporary license that same day that I applied for it. I filled the drivers license application form that day, paid into the bank that day (for 5 years validity), obtained my VIO and eye test certificates that same day and I was also captured that same day.

The temporary drivers license expires after two months. When mine expired, my permanent Nigeria drivers license wasn’t ready for pick up at the capture centre.  Instead, I was asked to make a photocopy of the temporary license. They stamped and signed on it and told me I can be using that pending the time my permanent license will be ready.

On August 13, 2018, I received an sms that I should go and pick up my permanent drivers license. That’s approximately three months after I was captured.

I hope this info helps.

How Much Is Drivers License In Nigeria 2018

Despite having shared how to get Nigeria drivers license on this blog, I still receive emails from some people asking me how much is drivers license in Nigeria.

Well the cost of drivers license in Nigeria depends on the number of years you want it to be valid for.  As at the time of publishing this post FRSC Nigeria offers two options : 3years validity and 5 years validity. Below is the price of Nigeria drivers license per years of validity :

  • Nigeria drivers license of 5 years validity will cost you N10,450
  • Nigeria drivers license of 3 years validity will cost you N6,350

You will be required to make this payment directly into the account number dedicated for this purpose.

When going to the bank to make this payment, you must go Nigeria drivers license application form which you might have filled at the FRSC capture centre. There is an application id on the form which the bank will need to process your payment. Once payment is successful, the bank will issue you a stamped teller and a payment acknowledgement slip.

Once you are done at the bank, you will have to go back to the FRSC office so they can direct you on what next to do.

After paying for my 5 years Nigeria drivers license, I proceeded to the VIO office to obtain my VIO test certificate after which I went to the eye clinic to obtain my eye test certificate. All these cost me extra money too.

Conditional Cash Transfer Programme in Nigeria

Many poor and vulnerable households in Nigeria scheme are benefiting from the Conditional Cash Transfer scheme of the Federal Government funded Social Investment Programme, which is giving N5000 a month to some of the poorest Nigerians across the country.

The beneficiaries get N5, 000 per month, get trained to be able to do business and also get support both financial and technical for starting their small businesses.

The states that are currently benefitting from the poverty alleviation program were chosen because they have an existing social register that identifies the most vulnerable and poorest Nigerians in their localities through a community-based targeting method designed by the World Bank. However,  other states have already begun developing their social registers and would be included in subsequent phases of the CCT implementation.

The Government of Nigeria partnered with the World Bank under a National Social Safety Nets Project (NASSP) to support the development of the safety nets in Nigeria. The Government prioritized social protection interventions as a key strategy towards reducing poverty and socio-economic vulnerabilities in the population.

To implement NASSP, the Government has established a National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO) to coordinate existing social safety net programs at the Federal level, and a National Cash Transfer Office (NCTO) to operate safety nets transfers to targeted poor and vulnerable households across Nigeria.

Market Moni Loan Repayment : How It Works

Market Moni loan scheme is a social intervention programme granting interest-free credit facilities to existing microenterprises of market women and traders, artisans, enterprising youth and agricultural workers.

The scheme of the National Social Investment Office is an initiative targeted at expanding the scope and scale of economic opportunity for the financially vulnerable. The Federal Government is executing MarketMoni through the Bank of Industry (BOI), a parastatal of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

The ‘no-interest’ loan scheme is accessible to beneficiaries through their accredited market associations and cooperatives. Upon confirmed membership of accredited market associations, provision of Bank Verification Numbers (BVNs), and assignment of a MarketMoni agent, beneficiaries qualify to obtain loans ranging between N10,000 to N100,000 repayable over 6 months, with a one-time 5% administrative fee to cushion costs.

MarketMoni “does not carry the usual interest tag that other such facilities would carry. Instead, beneficiaries only pay a one-time five per cent administrative charge which is also spread over 6 months. So if you are taking a loan of N50,000 for example, you would only pay N52,500 and it spread over 6 months. If you took a N20,000 loan, you would be paying back N21,000.

The beauty is there is no other cost or hidden charges as the case is with most credit available to this segment and which run up interests as high as 48% annualized.

MarketMoni’s 6-month repayment tenure eases the burden on the beneficiary. The entrepreneur is better able to focus their energies on growing their business rather than meeting aggressive targets. The loan also comes with a 2-week moratorium prior to commencement of weekly repayments starting on the third week of the life of the loan.

For example, a N20,000 loan beneficiary would pay back N875 weekly. A beneficiary who makes a daily contribution therefore pays less than N200 per day, an amount that can easily be set aside while reaping the benefits of significant injection of capital into their business. There is no other loan facility this affordable for the Nigerian base of the pyramid.

Below is the loan market moni repayment schedule :

Loan amount : ₦10,000
Administrative Fee : ₦500
Amount To Pay Back : ₦10,500.00
Weekly Repayment : ₦1437.50

Loan amount : ₦20,000

Amount To Pay Back : ₦21,000
Weekly Repayment : ₦875

Loan amount : ₦50,000

Weekly Repayment : ₦2,187.50

NB: GEEP Market moni is different from Trader Moni Initiative

Trader Moni Initiative by GEEP and BOI Lets Traders Get Loans Without Collateral In Nigeria

The federal government of Nigeria, has rolled out a new soft loan scheme aimed at funding micro businesses in the country. The scheme to be called Trader Moni is meant to help very small scale traders easily get loans without collateral in Nigeria for the purpose of expanding their small businesses.

The new initiative was launched under the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) in partnership with the Bank of Industry (BOI).

Unlike the existing Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) MarketMoni scheme, which targets market women, traders, artisans and enterprising youths, the TraderMoni is a micro-credit scheme to cater for ultra-micro enterprises.

Speaking at the unveiling of ‘Trader Moni’ initiative at Ojuwoye market in Lagos, the Executive Director, Bank of Industry, Toyin Adeniji said that the programme which is activated nationwide will support 2 million Nigerians to grow their business by having access to loan in Nigeria irrespective of the status or level of education.

She disclosed that the goal of the scheme was to take financial inclusion down to the grass root whereby pure water seller, bread seller, food seller, okada rider among others can access loan without collateral in Nigeria to expand their business.

She stated: “This ‘Trader Moni’ initiative is a mobile phone driven, after your details have been captured by agent and send to BoI system for validation, within 48 hours you will get cash notification in your mobile wallet account. You can either transfer the cash to your bank account or cash it out in any mobile money agent around.

“At the beginning you can access N10,000 and pay back N10,250 to qualify for N15,000. Once you payback N15,375 you will qualify for N20,000 loan, when you pay back N21,000 you will get N50,000. All these stages have duration of six months interval to pay back.”

The bank’s chief stated that BoI was in partnership with other banks such as Fidelity Bank, Wema Bank, GTBank, UBA, Heritage Bank, Stanbic Bank, Sterling Bank, Union Bank and Jaiz Bank to make paying back the loans easier. The trader just needs to visit any of the banks or key in with a BoI-GEEP agent to pay direct. Repayments can be made to BOI-GEEP loan account under PayDirect at banks.

Chief Operating Officer of GEEP, Mr. Uzoma Nwagba, said there are other products such as the ‘Farmers Moni’, which provides farmers the opportunity to access loans up to N300,000. Also, there is ‘Market Moni’, which issues interest-free loans between N50,000 and N100,000 to market women, traders and artisans that are a bit bigger and more structured. These products are available nationwide. He urged beneficiaries to do their best to pay back the loans so that others can get the opportunity to benefit from the programme.

NB : If you fail to repay the loan, your beneficiary’s Bank Verification Number  (BVN) might be blocked.

Ordering Books From Amazon To Nigeria

I’m currently ordering books from Amazon to Nigeria.

Here is a screenshot of my recent orders :

buy books from amazon in nigeria

As you can see, they will be delivered tomorrow.

If you don’t know how to buy books from amazon to Nigeria, let me briefly explain how I do it.

I buy books on amazon from Nigeria by making use of amazon gift cards as my payment option. They are cheaper to me compared to using my Nigerian banks debit cards.

When ordering the books on Amazon, I use a USA address as my shipping address during the checkout process.

The items I buy get delivered to the USA address after which they are shipped to Lagos, Nigeria.

I follow this same steps I whenever I shop on amazon from Nigeria, be it for physical products or digital content.

It’s that easy!

There are lots of shipping companies in Nigeria which you can use. Most of them will even give you free USA address to use for your amazon shopping. The address will be somehow unique, thereby making it easy for the shipping companies to alert you once they receive your items. You will also be able to track your shipment, hence you will know when they’ve been delivered to your USA address and when they arrive Nigeria.

If you don’t know any Nigerian shipping company you can use when you shop on amazon from Nigeria, you can contact me and I will help you buy and ship your books from USA to Nigeria.

You can check the amazon to nigeria page for more details.
