Paystack has announced the launch of Paystack Starter Businesses, a merchant tier that allows businesses in Nigeria to start accepting online payments with Paystack without the need for a corporate bank account or company registration certificate.

With Paystack Starter Businesses, Paystack seeks to support merchants from every stage of their growth story – from when an entrepreneur first has an idea, through those exciting early signs of success, and all the way to when they formalize the business.

With only a BVN, a personal bank account, and a means of identification (passport, driver’s license, or National ID), anyone with ideas can start validating the ideas quickly for a period of time with real customers.

While Paystack Starter Businesses enjoy almost all the same benefits as Registered Businesses, they don’t have access to the Paystack Transfers feature i.e they are unable to maintain a balance inside of Paystack. Instead, all funds are automatically settled into their bank accounts within 24 hours.

Starter Businesses also have a 2 million Naira collections limit, which can be increased to 3 million naira if they opt into phone number verification via Truecaller.

To become a Starter Business on Paystack, you need to submit only three things:

1. Bank Verification Number (BVN)
2. Your Bank Account Number (personal bank accounts are allowed)
3. Evidence of Identity – this could be:

i)   the information page of your Passport OR
ii)  Driver’s License OR
iii) National ID

According to NIRA, nomination for the .ng Awards will commence on Friday, 16th March, 2018 and close at midnight on Friday 30th March, 2018.

How To Add Two Call To Action Buttons To Facebook Page

Yesterday, a friend asked me how I was able to add both “Visit Group” and “Send Message” buttons on my Facebook page so he can also add “send message” and “call now” buttons to his Facebook business page so it can be easier for people to take an action on his page.

Well, I explained how it works for him and I’ve decided to share same with you.

If you would like to add two call to action buttons at the top of your Facebook page, you will need to enable “private messaging” and also add any call to action button to your page excluding the “message” button.

For example, if you want “visit group” and “send message” buttons to display on your Facebook page, follow the steps below :

• Navigate to your Facebook page, ‘settings > general > messages’ and tick ‘Allow people to contact my Page privately by showing the Message button“
• Hover over the call-to-action button below your Page’s cover photo and select “edit button”. Set the button to any desired call to action (excluding “send message” button) and save changes.

 

 

Your Facebook users will now see two CTA buttons on your Facebook page whenever they visit your page on desktop and on mobile devices.

You, the admin of the page will not see both buttons when you are signed in to Facebook.

If you want to see both buttons while signed in, click on … (3dots) usually next to the ‘share’ button & click on ‘view as page visitor’.

Alternatively, you can sing out of Facebook and view your Facebook page to see both buttons.

What is Chatbot for Facebook Messenger and How Does It Works?

How To Check Jamb 2018 Exam Centre at Jamb Portal

About 1.6 million candidates are expected to write the Jamb 2018 examination in 602 Jamb CBT centres in Nigeria.

Ahead of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) which will begin on Friday, March 9 to March 17,2018, candidates sitting for the 2018 UTME has been advised to print their examination slip via the Jamb portal. The Jamb exam slip also carries the time and date allocated to each candidate.

Candidates who have applied for the examination can check for their centres on www.jamb.org.ng and follow these steps:

1. Visit the JAMB UTME Slip Printing page on the Jamb online portal via the link here: www.jamb.org.ng/PrintExamslip/PrintExaminationSlip
2. Enter your Reg Number or your registered e-mail address

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that stiffer and innovative measures were introduced in the system to forestall multiple registration and other illicit practices by prospective candidates.

He said the board under his administration would maintain the culture of transparency, professionalism and global standards.

He reminded both candidates and invigilators of the ban on certain items, including: wrist watches, calculators, Bluetooth devices, smart lenses and several others. Prof. Oloyede warned candidates against patronising syndicates who have positioned themselves strategically to lure and defraud them with “mouth watering” offers and scores.

Imo State recorded the highest number of candidates that registered for the exercise,with a total of 92,890 candidates out of the 1.6 million candidates that are participating. Oyo and Osun states trailed behind with 86,695 and 86,044 registered candidates respectively just as Sokoto,Zamfara and the Federal Capital Terriyory, FCT have lowest registration with 13,456, 10,077 and 6,418 candidates in that order.
